lorna polke - psychotherapy and counselling

I offer Counselling and Psychotherapy to adults, both time limited and longer term work. As a well qualified practitioner, with a rigorous training, I have over 25 years of experience, in the NHS, Private Practice and within other agencies.

In addition, I work with a group of therapist colleagues and we are able to offer assessment and therapy for children, young people and their families. For details of this service please visit: www.drsillifantandassociates.co.uk

I work with people who experience a wide range of emotional and psychological distress. Clients may be struggling with anxiety, low mood, depression, work related stress, relationship difficulties, bereavement, trauma, physical, sexual or emotional abuse issues. Sometimes people may find it hard to cope with recent life events or may wish to come to terms with issues from the past, which may be preventing them from living a fulfilled and contented life.

Counselling and Psychotherapy provide a confidential space where thoughts and feelings can be discussed safely, with the aim of finding a sense of relief and the ability to move forward. Sessions are usually weekly 50 minute sessions, following an assessment which may last up to 1½ hours. I am able to offer more frequent appointments should this be required.
If you feel my approach may be helpful for you, please get in touch by calling the telephone number below and we can arrange an initial appointment.
